Volunteer Participation Waiver

Volunteer Participation Waiver and Release of Liability

By submitting the "Volunteer with us" form, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

  1. Voluntary Participation
    I am choosing to volunteer with Her Climb of my own accord. I understand that my participation is unpaid and that I may end my involvement at any time.
     

  2. Nature of Activities
    I understand that volunteer activities may include mentoring, administrative assistance, event support, workshops, or other program-related tasks. I will receive guidance on my responsibilities and may ask questions at any time.
     

  3. Interaction with Minors
    I understand that Her Climb works with high school students. I agree to maintain appropriate boundaries, uphold professional conduct, and comply with all safety and conduct expectations set by Her Climb.
     

  4. Assumption of Risk
    I acknowledge that participating in program activities may involve some level of risk. I accept responsibility for any personal injury or property damage that may occur while volunteering, except where caused by the negligence or misconduct of Her Climb.
     

  5. Release of Liability
    To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release Her Climb, its staff, partners, and representatives from any claims or liabilities that may arise from my participation as a volunteer.
     

  6. Confidentiality
    I agree not to disclose any personal, academic, medical, or identifying information about students or families. I will handle all information with discretion and professionalism.
     

  7. Background Check
    I understand that Her Climb may require a background check before I engage in activities involving students. If required, I agree to complete this process.
     

  8. Media Release
    I grant permission for Her Climb to use photographs, audio, or video recordings of me taken during volunteer activities for program-related materials. If I do not agree, I will notify the organization in writing.
     

  9. Code of Conduct
    I agree to follow all policies, training, and instructions provided by Her Climb. I understand that failure to comply may result in dismissal from the volunteer program.

 

By checking the box on the "Volunteer with us" application form, I confirm that I have read and understood this waiver and agree to its terms.
