Volunteers help create the supportive, structured environment that defines Her Climb. These guidelines ensure students remain safe, respected, and encouraged throughout every interaction.
Conduct Expectations

Treat every student with respect and professionalism

Maintain appropriate boundaries at all times

Model positive communication and behavior

Keep all student information private
Mentorship and Support

Encourage students to ask questions, experiment, and take intellectual risks

Avoid giving personal or legal advice

Redirect concerns to Her Climb staff when needed
Safety and Protocols

Follow all instructions from Her Climb staff

Remain in designated program areas

Report any concerns immediately

Participate in required training sessions
Attendance and Reliability

Arrive on time and prepared

Notify staff promptly if you must cancel or reschedule

Commit only to roles you can reliably fulfill
Technology and Media

No direct messaging students on personal accounts

No photographs or recordings on personal devices

Follow guidelines for any program-related media use
Boundaries

Do not give gifts or loan money to students

Do not share personal social media profiles

Maintain a supportive but professional relationship
