How do I apply?

The application for Her Climb’s 2026 Summer Intensive is now open.

We welcome rising high school sophomores from our partner high schools only, who are ready to grow as leaders, scholars, and changemakers in their communities.

To apply, complete this short online form and upload a few materials that help us get to know you beyond grades or test scores:

A resume (no worries if it’s short!) — this helps us understand your interests, community involvement, and experiences so far
A 250-word personal statement answering: Why do you want to join Her Climb, and what do you hope to gain from the experience?
One teacher's recommendation
Select your preferred track — Business, Creative Arts, Journalism, or Tech
Your fall semester transcript

APPLICATION TIMELINE

February 27, 2026. Application deadline
MARCH 6, 2026. Applicants moving on to the first round hear back and are informed of next steps via email
MARCH 13, 2026. Applicants moving on to the second round are informed
March 27, 2026. Second round applicants interviewed by our executive director and director of programs, admissions, & curriculum
April 1, 2026. Acceptance letter goes out
April 30, 2026. Orientation at partner high school
May 23, 2026. Columbia University campus tour
July 6-July 24. Summer Intensive on campus
